Irwin Stone’s Provable Hypothesis
Life in this realm is better once you transform yourself into the robust human mutant that Irwin Stone described in his paper published in 1979… This post tells you how to go about transforming your body.
Ascorbate is, of course, vitamin C. Other mammals make it by converting blood sugar to vitamin C all day, and humans don’t. Humans need “exogenous sources” of ascorbate (by mouth, through the skin, snorting, or by IV). Other mammals make huge quantities of ascorbate inside their bodies. Humans make none, zero.
Here’s part of the abstract of Irwin Stone’s paper…
…and so on. Note that Stone believed in evolution, which justifies his description above talking about defective genetics, etc. Not really provable stuff by any human. But…
…What is simple, provable, and repeatable is the fact that you can transform yourself over time from run-of-the-mill, disease-ridden human to a nearly-disease-free and much more robust and long-lived human mutant by understanding one thing. Page 21 of my children’s book explains this one thing. The little farmer in the children’s book refers to Buttercup. Buttercup is his cow. She makes ascorbate all day. The little farmer makes none. However he learns that:
The Transformational Practice
Page 20 of my children’s book describes the simple practice that, if adopted and practiced with steadfast discipline by any human (that’s you), transforms that human into a robust human mutant.
How Much Do I Take?
If you’re new to taking vitamin C, start easy and steady. Frequency of dosing is as important as dose.
Your gut likely has inflammation from the toxicity of the world. Nasty bacteria set up home around the inflammation. Vitamin C heals the inflammation and evicts the bad guys. Whenever something is evicted, it puts up a stink. You may experience this with bloating and gas. Welcome to the healing process.
Newbies start with 1/4 tsp of ascorbic acid dissolved in water. Take that 3-5 times per day. Stick with it. If it is too uncomfortable, reduce the amount and maybe increase the frequency. You can dissolve it in your drinking/hydration water and sip on it all day. Say 3-10 grams. Whatever is comfortable and keeps the ascorbate flowing.
Think of ascorbate in a similar way as hydration. People say “if you take too much, you just pee it out.” But that is silly. Should we reduce our water intake so we stop wasting water by peeing it out? Your body needs a continuous flow of ascorbate, like water. That’s what happens in animals that make it. Cow or goat urine happens to be a great source of high-dose vitamin C (theoretically speaking).
At age 65, Theo Farmer (that’s me) takes and tolerates a tablespoon (15 grams or so) of ascorbic acid at a time in water. I take that at least 4 times a day. Robust. Human. Mutant. The amount needed by any individual varies widely. My previous post on “bowel tolerance” gives additional info about this.
That’s all the time I can afford today for a substack post. I want to write more, and will just leave the rough outline here of what I intend to write about the Homo Sapiens Ascorbicus practice that may appear in future posts (some of which I’ve already written in previous posts, so you can read them if you have questions).
Just start your new vitamin C practice based on what I’ve described here so far. Do the experiment.
Started myself on C this week. My dog is a week ahead. Now to start stepping up the dose
